Refining and petrochemicals is one of the main business units of KMG International, keeping the local industry at high standards. KMG owns two of the four refineries in Romania, Petromidia (in Navodari) and Vega (in Ploiesti), and a Petrochemicals division, which is the sole producer of polymers in Romania and a laboratory testing company for petroleum products and environmental factors analysis.

By continuously investing in our refining units, we are the largest exporters of oil products of Romania.

The retail market we operate in is extremely dynamic and consumers’ decisions are influenced by the quality of the products, services and brand reputation. Rompetrol meets the complex needs of its clients with an extended network of over 1,000 fuel distribution points in Europe (Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, Georgia), a contemporary shop concept, proven premium quality fuels, the largest LPG network and a uniquely innovative payment card.

The trading activities are carried out in Switzerland, the base of operations for international trading, and in Romania, where the Group has developed efficient logistic assets that transforms the country into an energy hub and gateway to Europe.

Trading provides the three production units of the Group - Petromidia and Vega refineries and our petrochemicals production facility in Romania - with crude oil and raw materials. It manages the petroleum products stocks in the refining and retail divisions in Romania and it also sells fuels and niche products locally and to the Group's subsidiaries (Bulgaria, Moldova, Georgia), as well as to the traditional partners.
