Job description

The position’s holder will work under direct supervision of Finance Director of Rompetrol Georgia and Group IT Director in Bucharest Head Quarters and will manage an IT team of 3 people in Georgia. Person hired will be responsible for providing efficient and effective IT services for whole Rompetrol Georgia, including and not limited to:

  • Implementation of IT standards and best practices, as well as Rompetrol Group IT standards;
  • Coordination, support and maintenance of Retail Network (up to 80 Stations), Head Office, representative offices in Batumi and 2 Depots (Tbilisi and Batumi).
  • Managing implementation of new services, hardware and software as well as post-implementation 1st and 2nd level support.
  • Managing all IT projects, ongoing and implemented (Station automation, Coupon, Fill & Go, Billing, Equipment renewal, Loyalty card implementation, VoIP, Network redesign, ERP and banking interconnection, ORPAK and ERP interconnection, Fiscal check printing automation, Proxy, etc.)
  • Responsible for the effective operation of the infrastructure and support services for maintaining the continuity of the corporate IT and Video Surveillance systems activities
  • Responsible for IT-related budget (budget planning, efficient execution and relevant reporting)
  • Coordinating IT department activity, from daily task distribution and management up to team motivation, performance analysis and development.

Job requirements:


  • University degree with solid relevant professional experience;
  • Management studies pose an advantage;
  • Project Management certificate poses an advantage;
  • Additional studies/ education and training in management/ leadership pose an advantage.


  • In the relevant sector: 10 years’ professional work experience and 5 years’ relevant work experience;
  • At least 3 years' experience in managing a team;
  • Experience in managing/ leading large/ trans-functional projects.


Foreign languages: English – Advanced level

Computer operation:

  • Excellent knowledge of the operation subject covering business-specific quality and IT sectors (analysis, development, implementation and administration), web application portals and technology
  • Large scale knowledge and experience in IT infrastructure (databases, servers, data and voice communication networks, IT equipment - configuration, management, security etc.)
  • Excellent experience (ideally) in management of international programs / projects with multidisciplinary teams – a project management certificate poses an advantage
  • Excellent management and leadership abilities (management, budgeting, activity coordination and control): the capacity to shape motivated teams with a good level of execution and identification of needs for the department personnel
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interaction skills, strong decision-making and promoting top management decisions, excellent presentation skills

Ideal Candidate will additionally have:

  • Vast knowledge and understanding relevant legislation/norms, internal rules/ guidance in several sector/ functional level, the ability to support the drafting of internal rules and indications
  • A highly respected general image and understanding of business specific to the oil sector and its commercial requirement.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of service organizations and connections between Function departments and interdependences towards their interested parties.
